During the initial days of Covid-19 pandemic, Jaleel Holdings played an active role in setting up and running a fully-equipped isolation center in Dubai. Dr. Zakir K Mohamed, Director of Jaleel Holdings, was the medical lead of a volunteering team at Dubai Health Authority’s Al Warsan Covid-19 isolation facility in Hind Humanitarian City (HHC). He led a group of 56 volunteer doctors with 120 volunteer nurses and 58 other volunteers, who managed 7500 beds and took more than 18000 swab tests in 78 days. This feat was achievable with the diligent support of Kerala Muslim Cultural Centre (KMCC) and its crisis management team. Eventually DHA decided to completely take over in July 2020 to make HHC a long term facility.
