Assistant Brand Manager

Principle Accountability:
Responsible for enhancing the image of Jaleel Distribution and attract New Brands/Category, which will
help us grow our business.
Responsible for overseeing the entire creative process for the product at hand, including market research,
competitive reports, and promotional techniques.

Role: Drive revenue targets from the assigned brands for assigned geographical areas.

Job Responsibilities:
KRA1: Brand Management
– Represent the company to the Distribution division’s principals.
– Responsible for the brand placement, growth, operational excellence and strategies to drive sales.
– Actively manage the placement of a Brand(s) and or Product(s) secured with smooth handover to the Sales team
– Maximize market share of the Brands through consumer centric promotions
– Effectively interact and communicate with other departments
be-it account management/sales/distribution teams to ensure a professional handover of Brand(s), product(s) secured.
– Maintain & develop good relationship with the new as well as existing Key Accounts by managing them.
– Driving initiatives to recruit new Brands
– Manage the Brand development – BTL/Offtake drive/ATL activities
– Work towards increase in Market share in line with the Brand objectives
– Responsible for Category Expansion/Line extension

KRA2: Operational/Sales Support
– Ensure adequate penetration, market share, product positioning, growth and performance of the assigned brands.
– Responsible for achieving sales and marketing targets in line with company business plans and budgets.
– Coordinate product recall as per norms.
– Stock planning and managing the stocks for the business
– Achieve Revenue targets for assigned brands
– Perform analysis & Review of Sales Budget achievement
– Distributor management – numeric, weighted & channel development
– Oversee the yearly promotional plan on brand level & country
level in line with brand guidelines, Sales feedback as well as shoppers’ insights.
– Plan and manage brand-related trainings to the distribution team

KRA3: SP Fund Management
– Responsible for the planning, development and implementation of aggressive and innovative sales and marketing
policies/programs for principals and customers.
– Improve the revenue performance of the business & ensure NP over GP
– Monitor the GP target closely and address the deviations if any
– Manage budget of the yearly promotional plan on brand level & country level in line with brand guidelines
– Align Brand & Distribution teams & consider respective feedback & suggestions.
– Propose & present yearly promotional plan for approval.
– Ensure the promotional packaging/labelling is available to all markets within agreed timelines.
– Ensure packaging quality is always best in class.
– Manage the market spend budget efficiently & ensure cost policies are applied having in mind optimization between
quality & price.

KRA4: Market Intelligence
– Initiate market research studies or analyze their findings.
– Develop New Ideas for Consumer Promotions.
– Identify market opportunities for new brands/ categories
– Conduct market research to come up with new Line extension ideas.
– Coordinate or participate in promotional activities or trade shows with Sales department.
– Identify and analyze industry or geographic trends with business strategy implications.
– Identify or monitor current and potential customers, using business intelligence tools.
– Suggest, recommend, and represent the company at industry
events and tradeshows identified as being integral to business development.

KRA5: Automation & Other Projects
– Enhance and implement systems, processes, tools and control systems
– Develop sustainable ways of automating manual work and data storage
– Lead the strategic projects in-line with the vision and mission

KRA6: MIS Reporting
– Manage and analyze planning, budgeting, project cost analysis and implement cost controls
– Project plans to support the business including proposals and recommendations for implementation
– Responsible for maintaining department budget
– Ensure clear communication with the business on policies & procedures
– Prepare the Brand Reviews and Submit
– Conduct regular competitor reviews to update the sales team on the market.
– Prepare Monthly POSM Implementation Report
– Generate standard or custom reports summarizing business, financial, or economic data.
