We are looking to hire a “Delivery Operations Manager” to be part of Crosswell Logistics.

Job Overview.

The Delivery Operations Manager will oversee and manage our fleet of 30 trucks. This role will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations – routing, scheduling, and planning of deliveries, as well as optimizing performance and ensuring that all deliveries are completed in a timely and cost-effective manner. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in managing large fleets, routing, and utilizing Transport Management Systems (TMS).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the daily operations of 30 trucks, ensuring proper maintenance schedules, driver assignments, and vehicle readiness.
  • Plan and implement optimal delivery routes, ensuring timely deliveries while minimizing costs.
  • Coordinate with various teams (Warehouse, Central transport team and Internal Businesses) to ensure smooth delivery processes.
  • Use and manage Transport Management Systems (TMS) for route planning, dispatching, tracking, and reporting.
  • Develop and manage driver schedules to ensure maximum fleet utilization while complying with safety and legal regulations (e.g., driving hours).
  • Track key performance indicators (KPIs) like on-time deliveries, cost per delivery, fuel efficiency and vehicle downtime.
  • Implement strategies to improve performance.
  • Handle issues such as delivery delays, route inefficiencies, or customer complaints in a timely manner.
  • Prepare regular reports on delivery performance, costs, fleet usage, and other operational metrics for senior management.
  • Ensure all deliveries meet legal and safety standards, including managing regulatory documentation and maintaining driver certifications.

Skills & Qualifications.

  • Minimum of 3-5 years in a fleet management role, ideally in FMCG/Food industry involving large-scale transportation and deliveries.
  • Hands-on experience with Transport Management Systems (TMS), including routing and scheduling features.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, capable of interacting with both internal teams and customers.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is preferred.
  • Certification in logistics, supply chain management, or related fields (e.g., Six Sigma, APICS, etc.).
  • Ability to communicate in Hindi/Urdu is a plus.
  • Knowledge of UAE’s routes and familiarity with local transportation regulations and compliance requirements.
