Job Summary:
The Inventory Controller will be responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records, minimizing discrepancies, optimizing inventory management processes, and ensuring inventory accuracy to support efficient order fulfilment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and maintain inventory accuracy through regular cycle counts and audits.
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies between physical and system inventory.
- Update stock records and ensure data integrity in the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
- Analyze inventory trends and provide actionable insights to minimize stock variances.
- Ensure FIFO/FEFO practices are followed, especially for food products.
- Manage and execute the process to write off damaged and expired goods, ensuring proper documentation and approvals.
- Analyze order profile and constantly review slotting logic.
- Drive efficient utilization of warehouse cubic space
- Enable productivity improvement across inbound and outbound operations through efficient inventory flow through the warehouse.
- Works closely with IT teams and other cross functional operations leaders both internal and external to ensure high product availability of shelves for picking.
- Conduct annual stock counts.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in inventory control, preferably in a 3PL or FMCG environment.
- Proficiency in Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), preferably SAP.
- Strong MS Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, etc.),
- Ability to churn large data sets into actionable recommendations.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills.
